Arundel Castle History Day, 25th - 26th October 2023
Arundel Castle
Arundel Castle 12th Century
Following torrential rain last night the Weather God's were very generous over the day, with even blue skies and sunshine.
Good 850 visitors over the day, which considering the forecast was pretty good, it certainly felt like there had been more.
Lots a very interested and engaging visitors which is always good.
Great displays from everyone, combat and table wise, and a very successful first day.
Back again tomorrow for round two.
Day Two
An excellent start to the day weather wise, and forecast looked very good for the day.
Sadly the 'R' word was mentioned, and Sir Fairweather (Mark) left and the weather gods cast showers in the afternoon to dampen our canvas if not our spirits.
Aside from the first three photos, thanks to Sam Thompson for this batch of photos as I missed all tha action whilst doing Moat Tours (photographic evidence as well).
Huge thank you to everyone who participated today, and over both days.
The 1500 visitors over the two days is reflective of the uncertain weather forecast but those attending were full of praise for everything they saw and did.
A great ending to the events this year.
The castle had over 192,000 visitors over this season, and the events certainly contributed to those figures... Full credit to you all... Roll on 2024..
