Sat 30 April Bignor Roman Villa Day One

Some great table and arena displays, everyone interacting with the public, and the sun shining all day, what a great first day at the villa...

Covering Stone Age through to Norman's, to reflect the history of the villa site and location, we covered costume, weapons and armour and combatants in three arena slots, and scattered out the static displays around the villa...

Here's hoping the second day will be as successful...

Day Two Sadly day two started grey and overcast and eventually a drizzle started around noon...

Did manage to to get in two great arena displays, which were well supported by visitors... Around 150 members over the two days which is pretty good, especially as they were all interested and chatty... Really great two days and a huge thanks to everyone who was able to attend attend and support the event...
